Rum, a sugarcane wine, is a favorite of pirates. It's the kind of wine that will get up unconsciously and get drunk unconsciously; it's the kind of wine that won't have a headache the next day after drinking it, but you don't remember what you did last night. The best of the wines; it is still the kind of cocktail base that can be drunk purely with ice or can be combined with America’s Coke and Sprite. In short, rum is indeed my favorite.
Last night, I watched the "Rum Diary" reposted by many people on Weibo. I can’t say what it feels like. Depp’s lack of neuroticism in the past made me uncomfortable, and the film didn’t have too many orgasms, neither pain nor itching, neither good nor bad. Therefore, I want to know more about the story behind the film.
Two videos are attached to the film: one is an introduction to the film crew, and a special record of Hunter S. Thompson, the author of "Rum Diary", has done the preparatory work for the preparation of the entire film.
"Rum Diary" is Thompson's work many years ago. It seems that he loves it very much. Just like his personal writing style, all literary works should be told in the first person, and even add personal life experience. Of course, this is not something that every writer can do. After all, few people have as much experience as him. This novel is about Puerto Rico in the 1960s. An American journalist in New York went to the back garden under construction in the United States to seek opportunities. I didn’t want to but gained an infinitely wonderful
sense of life... In 1997, Thompson and Depp began planning the filming of "Rum Diary", even holding rum, dangling a big cigar and starting to start in his own Collectively improve the novel in the underground studio. The section in the novel is indeed wonderful: Chenault accepts the teases of the locals frantically and recklessly, all kinds of nudity, all kinds of passion, just reading it is exciting. The fragments in the movie are still not as enjoyable as the novel, so I won't say much about this as everyone knows.
You can still see Thompson’s eagerness. She didn’t hesitate to offend the producer to write to her and anger her, believing that the female producer’s video should have been taken after Thompson’s death, and when she read his sharp and inhumane letter, she would still be sceptical. He said in tears: Such a great writer has a heart like a bird. Unfortunately, he still did not see "Rum Diary" made into a movie and went to the big screen. I believe that he must have drunk enough rum presumptuously before shooting at his head.
In the first documentary, Depp left a chair with Hunter S. Thompson's name on the crew for his old friend, and a glass of rum. Before shooting, he would take out some rum and sprinkle it on himself. This is a kind of nostalgia and a kind of comfort!
After understanding the story behind the movie, re-examining "Rum Diary" does not seem to be so single. "I can't even speak myself" At least many years later, someone would like to listen to him talking about it in the middle of the night... ...
