"Kubo and the Two Strings" is produced by an American animation studio. It can be said that it has its own advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that the style of painting has changed. After all, stop-motion animation is still refreshing compared to the hand-painted Japanese animation works. The disadvantage is that the content and style of painting are slightly set. There are some unacceptable things, such as the laughter of the old lady, the redwood forest, etc. (so Blizzard Dad is still very good, and "Mists of Pandaria" does a good job).
There are two highlights. One is the paper art, which is simple and flexible and can be changed freely, which reminds people of the animated short "Paperman". It is an interesting step to have the form displayed positively.
