God is not cruel

I wanted to find an animated movie to watch, so I searched for it one by one on the popular. I found out that the rating of this movie is quite high, I always read the ratings first, so that I can be more or less prepared. It was later discovered that it was the story of Moses.
This story comes from the Old Testament of the Bible and tells how Moses brought the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Of course God chose Moses.
First of all, the friendship between Moses and the prince has a large proportion in this movie. The two are not biological brothers, but they have a kind of relationship that is better than biological. Think about the fact that brothers and sisters compete for property and turn against each other in TV and other media. deeds. . . . I just think that kind of camaraderie touches me.

After reading the comments of many netizens, it seems that they are quite critical of God’s actions, especially as the last item of the ten plagues in Egypt, “killing the eldest son”. unreasonable.
Allow me to say something else here.

What kind of environment did we grow up in since I was a child? I remember that when I was in kindergarten, the teacher taught me
to recite the jingle of overthrowing landlords and traitors (I can’t remember the specifics), and the most hated is the Japanese devils. There are so many such performances in movies and TV dramas. I think the first thing that comes to mind when referring to Japan before being a minor is the devil, and then "Saint Seiya" or something. There used
to be some contradictions in Seiya's heart because he was Japanese.
At that time, I actually saw a comic book called "Eighteen Arhats vs. Saint Seiya" and another "Black Cat Sheriff vs. Transformers" . Maybe this was a kind of resistance from the cartoonists in our country at that time.
Therefore, it is still a little exciting to see China and Japan play a game. I want to say that there is
more or less ethnic hatred in it.
It is an indisputable fact that the former Japanese made us slaves and massacred many Chinese.

However, we finally drove them out of China.
As for the Israelites, they were used as slaves in Egypt for hundreds of years. How can there be no national resentment in it? At the beginning of the film, the pharaoh ordered the killing of the children of the Israelites, and only Moses survived, so such a big national hatred is irreconcilable. And the friendship between Moses and the prince is insignificant here.
Then there is the religious aspect.
God is the God of the universe and the God who created mankind. God is good, loving, and just.
Why did God choose Israel? The Israelites are weak nomads in terms of nationality. They don’t even have land. Instead of choosing the strong, they choose the weak, because the weak need help even more. Just like the society pays attention to the weak, this is a manifestation of God’s virtue.
When I read the Bible, I initially felt cruel about the mass killings in the Old Testament, and there is
a reason for that. Many people know that Christianity is against idolatry, but idolatry at that time is different from burning incense in temples now. At that time, when many nations were worshipping idols, men and women still practiced fornication in that temple, and some even sacrificed their children directly by fire, which were all hated by the only God of Israel.
Therefore, whatever God kills is compelled to kill, just like sometimes a doctor will remove a part of the tissue in order to save a patient.
That's all I have to say, that's all I know
