The Prince of Egypt--National Culture and War

The Hebrews have suffered many disasters in history; they have been defeated, enslaved, marginalized, slaughtered, and then fled and migrated to find their own home. Decades ago, they finally built a piece of someone else's territory. A series of problems, such as the rise of their own country and the ethnic conflicts with the local people, have stimulated serious Palestinian-Israeli conflicts, and the world they live in is still war.

People have always been taboo against the word "nationalism," but history is indeed like this, and people are accustomed to the tendency to reject foreign national cultures, but some ethnic cultures are more tolerant, and ethnic issues in some areas are very acute. It is differences that lead to differences that lead to rejection.

But there is a saying in China called "harmony but difference." If they are very different from each other, and they can live in harmony, that is a very high realm. So, hopefully, one day, those places will become more inclusive and harmonious.

Tzipporah: Oh! Oh, my! Don't worry down there! We'll get you out! Hold on!
