The very human Moses

An animated version of Exodus, just organized through the perspective of Moses as the prince of Egypt. Searching for freedom is of course an eternal theme, but God is still cruel, so why is the suffering that fell on the Egyptian people not painful? Of course, as a bystander, if someone was violent to My people, maybe I wouldn't take it so lightly. I like Moses, who is not the representative of the severe god in religious history, but more tender and human. Those pure deer-like eyes always show compassion and innocence, sympathy for slaves, helplessness for one's life experience, and complex emotions of love and hate for his brother, which makes me feel that this person who looks strong and excellent is still as usual in his heart. People are generally affectionate.
Do people have to bear hardships when they come into this world? One can't help but wonder, is Moses happy as a teenager playing pranks with his older brother, or is he happy to finally see the people safely back on the promised land?
Faith matters! ? What is it that is seen through the eyes of God? Maybe a hundred years later, I will find the answer.

In addition, the soundtrack of this animation is really good! Especially the ending song, it feels like a familiar melody once, which folk song is it from, or an episode from "The Condor Heroes"? do not know! Hope to have some pointers from those who have researched! Thanks!

This myth seems to have real historical relics to be found! I watched the original documentary on Pearl TV first, which shocked me very much at that time.

The Prince of Egypt quotes

  • Jethro: [singing] A single thread in a tapestry, though its color brightly shine, can never see its purpose in the pattern of the grand design. And the stone that sits on the very top of the mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important than the stones that form the base? So how can you see what your life is worth, or where your value lies? You can never see through the eyes of man... You must look at your life, look at your life through Heaven's eyes!

  • Yocheved: [singing, while wrapping a blanket around her baby and hiding it in her arms] Yal-di ha-tor veh he ha-rach...

    [My good and tender son]

Yocheved: Al ti-ra, veh al tif-chad.

[Don't be frightened and don't be scared]

Yocheved: My son, I have nothing I can give, but this chance that you may live. I pray we'll meet again, if He will deliver us...

[Yocheved, Miriam and Aaron race to the river with the baby]

Chorus: Deliver us, hear our prayer, deliver us from despair, these years of slavery grow too cruel to stand! Deliver us, there's a land you promised us, deliver us out of bondage and deliver us to the promised land...

Yocheved: [placing the baby in the basket] Hush now, my baby. Be still, love, don't cry. Sleep as you're rocked by the stream. Sleep and remember my last lullaby, so I'll be with you when you dream. River, oh river, flow gently for me. Such precious cargo you bear. Do you know somewhere he can live free? River, deliver him there...
