The old nun cried at the end, and I don't think it was because of the cry that drove the priest away, but because it was because she lied and violated the teachings. The black boy's distaste for doubting his body corresponds to the priest's dislike of being fat in the next scene. The priest's excessive care made the simple little nun doubtful. For other children, the priest basically cared but did not touch them, but he comforted the black boys. And a white boy who shows disgust at the trendy and beloved priest, all kinds of things, the image of the priest is always buried in the shadows.
