Overall, it's a very depressing movie, not my type.
Doubt and suspicion stem from many factors, this film stems from attitude, understanding of faith.
Don't care if the nun is reckless, don't care if the priest is guilty, don't care about the sexual orientation of the little boy, this film does not want to tell us the final answer.
We are also in constant doubt, aren't we?
When you are watching the movie, guessing who is lying, maybe it is really integrated into the movie. Could it be that the director's intention was to pull us in too?
