after All About Eve

Just finished watch All About Eve, I am totally amazed by the movie, I can't believe it was made in 1950, it was more than a movie, there are so much to be remembered.
It was a story about how a nobody becomes a super star, how she tried all the lies and deceptions to get the trust of other people and at last betrayed everybody and blablalba. I was totally fooled like anybody at first, I was deveived by her pure look and thought she was a nice good young lady, but when everything became clear I felt so stupid of myself and angry for what she've done to her "friends" .
I can't help thinking about myself, ourselves, our lives --- for how many times we have been used by other people because we're people with kindness and innocence who are trying to help. Yeah, that's the world, that's the motherfuckin' world.
Look on the bright side, there are still nice persons, there are people who're willing to pay back after the favor you've done for him/her.But that's too much, i'm TOTALLY satisfied if I won't be cheated or fooled around by those who've helped.
Ok, I should stop acting like a pessimistic bitch, after all there are a lot of good people, and I believe there's nothing to be shamed of to be a kind person, but bear in mind, to me and to all my friend. Dig into the essence, explore the hidden side, don't be fooled by the apperance, after all not everyone is as good as us.

All About Eve quotes

  • Margo: I'll admit I may have seen better days, but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail like a salted peanut.

  • Addison DeWitt: [voiceover intro] To those of you who do not read, attend the theater, listen to unsponsored radio programs, or know anything of the world in which you live, it is perhaps necessary to introduce myself. My name is Addison DeWitt. My native habitat is the theater. In it, I toil not, neither do I spin. I am a critic and commentator. I am essential to the theater.
