This movie tells you what is perversion

The word "pervert" is becoming more and more ambiguous and vague. People no longer limit it to the realm of evil, it has become as common as condiment. Lovers tease each other, angry nicknames among friends, praise artists for their accomplishments... and so on, "perverts" have long been accustomed to. In the film industry, Park Chan-wook is a "perverted" director. When everyone sees his revenge trilogy, it is either incest, violence, or terror. But Park Chan-wook is a director with a very high rank and is out of vulgar taste. He is just borrowing perverted clothes to tell a fairy tale of universal significance. "Old Boy" is like that, "Stoker" is like that, and "Miss" is no exception.

"Miss" is adapted from the famous British lily novel "Fingersmith Love Picking". Just like the structure of the novel, the film is divided into three parts, which tell the story of a liar entering the aristocracy and defrauding the eldest lady's family property from three perspectives. In the first part, it is developed from the perspective of the maid Nan Shuxi. At the beginning, a heavy rain is used to show Nan Shuxi's impoverished life. For 150,000 pieces of jewelry with the noble lady, she cooperated with the fake duke, served Miss Hideko as a maid, and then became her confidant to match her love with the fake duke. Take the opportunity to send Hideko to a mental hospital and take possession of the property. But it is not as good as the sky. I didn't expect Miss Xiuzi to be so beautiful. Nan Shuxi fell in love at first sight and said bluntly, "I never expected her to be so beautiful, and I have no preparation at all." As the saying goes, love is born over time, and female girlfriends are no exception. After coaxing her to sleep, helping her teeth, taking a bath together, and dressing up games, Nan Shuxi has fallen deeply in love. At this time, the fake duke came, and he seemed to win Miss Hideko's favor very smoothly. Seeing Xiuzi fall into their trap step by step, Nan Shuxi was unhappy, became jealous and contradicted, and even lost her temper in front of Xiuzi. But for the money, she still elopes with the fake duke with the young lady. At the end of the story, I didn't expect Nan Shuxi to be put together and put in a mental hospital.

This is the end of the first story. In my opinion, this basically conforms to all the routines in fairy tales, at most it is a dark fairy tale, similar to the killer falling in love with the enemy. According to Nan Shuxi's taste, she was a little conceited and naive, and she didn't even suspect that Miss Xiuzi would betray her in the end. Such people are also the most likely to fall in love. The second part tells the other side of the story from the perspective of Miss Hideko, which is quite a reversal of the story.

Our Miss Hideko is not a simple and carefree eldest lady. Her childhood was full of "perverted" experiences. She was taken over by her uncle since she was a child. Uprooted and helpless, Hideko is like a puppet at the mercy of her uncle. The uncle is the perverted big boss in the whole story. He trains Xiuzi to recite the plot of the yellow book like an aunt. In the end, the aunt was driven crazy by her uncle and hanged from the cherry tree in the yard. The cherry blossom trees are extremely large, the petals are flying, and the beauty is extraordinary. Such beauty is only nourished by the abuse of women and becomes one of the most important props in the entire film. When Xiuzi grew up, she took over the mantle of her aunt and continued to recite pornographic novels for the nobles. At this time, the fake duke broke in, and Hideko made a deal with him in order to gain freedom. The fake duke will bring a fake maid who will eventually replace Hideko in the insane asylum. This is where the story begins to merge with the plot of the first part and unfolds another side of the story. The truth is that Xiuzi also fell in love with time and fell in love with the servant Nan Shuxi. Lily Dafa began to shine, and they all shared their plans. In order to stay together, they thought of another plan.

This is the end of the second story. In my opinion, the B side of this story is more "perverted" than the A side. The uncle's persecution of Hideko was tantamount to sexual abuse, and this may even be the reason why Hideko no longer has feelings for men. Compared with the splendid cherry blossom trees planted on the ground, under the courtyard of this deep house is a library of yellow books dedicated to men's lust. In order to escape from here, Xiuzi cooperated with the fake duke in order to survive, but in order not to hurt Nan Shuxi, she even thought of committing suicide, out of love. Here, the theme of the film is about to come out. Same-sex love is not a perversion, but the real perversion is the oppressed and obscure lewdness. This is even more apparent at the end of the third part, because Xiuzi ran away with the fake duke who was caught by her grudge uncle, and even eagerly wanted to spy on the sex life of the fake duke and Xiuzi. But what surprised me was the fake Duke's sentence "That's my wife, what do you care about us".

The third story is told from the perspective of God. Nan Shuxi, who was locked up in an insane asylum, had already made an escape plan with her family. On the other hand, Hideko, who pretended to be married to the fake duke, used her beauty to trick the fake duke into drinking poisonous wine. In the end, a lover falls in love with his family, and the fake duke is tortured by a perverted uncle. The copper balls that my uncle used to abuse Hideko became their bedding. The bell of the copper ball floated on the sea, and the story ended.

It can be said that desire is the driving core of the behavior of all characters throughout the film. Under the delicate desire, it is everyone's fateful sinking and struggle. In addition to Xiuzi and Nan Shuxi, I think the character of my uncle can provide more discussion space for everyone. In the film, there is a brief mention of his life experience, but it is still not difficult to speculate that he was once a poor boy. In order to climb the high branch, plunder the wealth of the upper class, and abandon his original wife, he used some means to deceive everything. The cherry trees transplanted from thousands of miles in the yard, expensive yellow books, glass bottles filled with genitals... are all playthings for his pastime. And the most terrifying thing is that people like him are not special cases. Those who are older and in suits and leather shoes come to his house with all kinds of mentality to listen to a woman reading the pornographic book. They are all the same devil. These people hold the right to speak in the top-level economy and official culture.

Fortunately, there is still love, worthy of praise from others.
