Without a doubt, my favorite character of the entire show is Diane, the quintessential Zoe, a smart cynical introvert and a feminist.
Unlike Bojack (another Zoe) who is egotistical and indecisive, Diane is calm, objective and always straight to the point. In her in-depth analysis of Sarah Lynn, Bojack didn't care and couldn't keep up with her thinking. She was the first to see the truth when she rescued Becca and a bunch of Farm Chicken.
Different from Bojack's muddleheaded, hesitant to move forward, Diane is independent, brave, and has been doing what she thinks is meaningful. Whether it's to expose the truth and become an enemy of the entire entertainment industry, or to volunteer in the war-torn Cordovia, she is willing to go without hesitation.
But even as strong as Diane, after finding that the truth she insisted on finding was not accepted by the world, and after being pushed away by her beloved husband Mr. Peanubutter because of his interests, he saw that the fake philanthropist was nothing but Cordovia as fame and fortune After the show, after deciding that everything she had done was pointless, she was still defeated, and finally began to escape, depressed, and slumped.
Because every Zoe, no matter how powerful, needs a lot of affirmation, support and love.
Fortunately, she was treated leniently. Bojack gave her a place, Prince Carolyn gave her a job, and her husband, Mr. Peanutbutter, invited her home.
Although at the end, Diane's work is still different from her expectations, life is still hard. But it gets easier. Everyday it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it everyday. That's the hard part. But it does get easier.
