Every time I heard people said I-am-Zoe that kind of shitty stuff, I know it's just another round of loving simple things. Because you won't define one using two genres. You think you can make things easier by simplifying them. But the world would push hard who won't take efforts to think.
To put it simply, everyone likes this drama just because it is mourning, and they happen to be unhappy, which resonates.
For people who like to associate their experiences with poetry and plots, they don't really understand the state of mind of the protagonist. I doubt it.
I know we have similarities with Ma Nan, but it's not easy to say whether it really resonates. I'll be asking myself tomorrow what I have in common with Ma Nan, who the hell is Ma Nan.
Defining a person in one or ten words is reckless. A person's definition includes all his actions in his life, not even his thoughts.
I never worry about being controlled by the amygdala (emotion), but I don't want to miss out on the processes and triggers it controls me. People are slaves to emotions, because people don't understand emotions and they control them.
