I'm very relieved that people don't think about Frank's ending in the end and they're more concerned about the male protagonist having a good home in the end. When he finally forgives the girl, both sides are relieved. Forgiveness will make people feel more guilty than resentment.
What one gains is also what one loses. Stickman exploits willful greed, selfishness, and gain for nothing. Instead of sympathizing with the poor deceived, let them reflect on being deceived.
When the male protagonist has nothing, his heart hurts, not only because he has no money, but more importantly, he is cheated by the most important person in his life. His only friend did not even hesitate to tell him: I love you. The daughter he thought was a daughter slave for her tolerating the mess at home.
The whole movie feels very real, like something that would happen in real life.
