Second time watching "Stickman"

The first time I watched it, it seemed that there was no barrage, so I devoted myself to this scam all the way. I still vaguely remember how I felt at the time, and I was so surprised by the final plot reversal that I wanted to beat the table. At that time, I really hadn't seen much of the world, and I didn't expect foreign movies to be so unexpected.

I like the kind of drama that makes people nervous and anxious to know what will happen next, and this drama gives me that feeling.

The second time I watched it, I began to understand that it was called obsessive-compulsive disorder, and I couldn't help but open the barrage to watch the people who eat melons say something to me. This is a show with absolutely no spoilers. If the air leaks a little bit, you will not be able to experience the feeling of a roller coaster.

I really like the story of this kind of little person, even if the male protagonist claims to be a master of deception. Life is like a dream, it's all emptiness. When I looked at it back then, I still felt bad for the male protagonist. Although he was not a good person, or even a little bad, the result was too miserable; when I looked at it again, I felt that there was nothing wrong with it. "In this way, the wealth you think you can control, the lover you think you can possess, the family you think you can rely on for a lifetime, or even yourself, are all illusory existences.

Use the meaning I choose to fight against nothingness. Someone said so. Just like a master deceiver, after a big dream, a new life begins.

Matchstick Men quotes

  • Angela: Bullshit!

Roy: No bullshit. And watch your mouth at the table.

Angela: [Angela laughs] You're a con man?

Roy: Con artist. Flim flam man, matchstick man, loser. Whatever. Take your pick.

    Angela: And that guy Frank?

Roy: He's my partner. My protege...

    Angela: Teach me something...

    Roy: You're funny.

Angela: Teach me something! A con.

Roy: I'm not teaching you anything...

    Angela: Why not?

Roy: Because you're far too bright and innocent and beautiful and I'm not going to screw that up like everything else!

    Angela: You really think that?

    [pause]

    Angela: That I'm beautiful?

    Roy: No.

Angela: Well, then why won't you? Because crime doesn't pay?

Roy: No, it does. It does! Just not very well.

Angela: Well, you seem to be doing alright by it!

Roy: I'm not. Believe me. It's no fun doing what I do. A lot of times it's stealing from people who don't deserve it. Old people. Fat people. Lonely.

    [pause]

Roy: A lot of times I feel sick about it.

Angela: Well, then why do you do it?

  • Angela: She said you were a bad guy. You don't seem like a bad guy.

Roy: That's what makes me good at it.
