It's just that the cast is strong

I originally wanted to go to the cinema to watch "Fireworks in the Day", but due to the schedule, I could only choose this movie, "Allied Treasure Team".
I remember George Clooney's "The Presidential Killing Bureau" in my junior year. At that time, I felt that the movie was quite sharp. His ability as a director also greatly improved in my heart, because he was handsome and middle-aged and masculine. like. So when I saw a lot of big names in this movie, Cate Blanchett, Damon, Bill Murray and other big names, I was excited for a while, well, just watch this.
But from the very beginning, the film's narrative was tepid, and I didn't have much ripples in my heart as a viewer as the director clearly intended to be the climax of the film, including the sacrifice of the male protagonist of "Downton Abbey" and let - Dujardin's sacrifices seem to lack power. The whole film contains a certain level of jokes, a certain degree of rationality and righteousness. The narration is a period of time to find the treasure for a period of time. When mixed up, it seems very plain. There is no obvious thought-provoking place. Although it shows the beautiful human nature of the Treasure Team, it is somewhat false. It is not like a movie, but a political propaganda film. . It feels that such a large group of good actors can come together to make a movie, entirely because of Clooney's personal influence, but this movie really can't be called his level, and it is a failed work.
Hopefully Clooney's next movie will be great.

The Monuments Men quotes

  • Frank Stokes: You can wipe out an entire generation, you can burn their homes to the ground and somehow they'll still find their way back. But if you destroy their history, you destroy their achievements and it's as if they never existed. That's what Hitler wants and that's exactly what we are fighting for.

  • James Granger: Stop, stop. Stop. I seem to have stepped on a land mine... of some sort.

Frank Stokes: Why d'you do something like that?

James Granger: It was a slow day.

Frank Stokes: Well, I wouldn't move.

James Granger: I'd like to at some point.
