About the family

Jiawei said that watching too many foreign films is boring because they are too far from real life.
But this happened to be the reason why I was so thirsty to watch foreign films.
Eager to understand different cultures, different thinking, different lives.
Such as this one, the story of a pair of Lara, a pair of children and a sperm donor.
There is always something in common. some humanity.

The desire of children to seek their biological father is irresistible.
And Paul's appearance undoubtedly brought an uproar to the family that already had problems.
Jules had a relationship with Paul because he didn't get Nic's attention and affirmation.
And Paul really fell in love with Jules.
Nic, who learned all this, was shocked.
This crippled family doesn't know how to fix it, and it feels like it can never go back to the beginning.

After Joni was sent to college, the hearts of the family were closely linked again.
Although I know that Paul's performance is not glorious, I still think that he is a real person.
In the end Joni put on his straw hat, believing that father and daughter still have a chance to get back together.

Joni played by Mia Wasikowska, Alice in Wonderland.
Laser played by Josh Hutcherson, Bridge to Terabithia.

Long, long after it's all gone, I'm still willing to say: I'm glad I did.

80/100. Looking around, it's all about acting! The first half of the script is excellent, compared to the second half. I originally thought that I would focus on analyzing and solving problems from within the family, but it turned out to be an external cause. And why is Mark Ruffalo basically not a good guy in so many movies I've seen. . .

  • Nic: Look, we have to be smart about this. You know, if we act like grubby bitches, we're just gonna make it worse.

    Jules: I know.

Nic: Let's just kill him with kindness and put it to bed.

Jules: I'm with you, honey. We're gonna get through this, okay?

    Nic: I love you, chicken.

Jules: I love you, too, pony.
