If you think that this film is to introduce how such superhumans can show their talents, then you are wrong. Any vision in front of the camera can be faked, and it is dark enough to use satire to insinuate criticism of war. The establishment of such a research department by the U.S. military is inconceivable. It requires fantastic ideas and the active promotion of some brain-dead enthusiasts. Isn’t this just like a ridiculous and absurd reason for launching a war? Isn't it trampling on other people's countries? With the development of the film's plot, the ins and outs of such a nonsensical department are clearly revealed. Anyone who can grow long hair, dance all day, practice yoga, and do strange experiments can see how absurd it is. Knowing that these are mysteries, pretending to be crazy and selling stupid, they still have to brainwash the members to make them believe it. This is the same as the fact that the US military is constantly attrition in Iraq, while at the same time asking the common people to believe that they are the incarnation of justice.
Ask a random American soldier on the front line, and he will probably tell you that he is going to liberate the people there and bring them democracy, but a few people can really understand everything behind the appearance. Although the original Iraq was a dictatorship, at least the people were prosperous and had a better life. Looking at the post-war period, the so-called democratic government is not yet a puppet of the United States. The common people not only face the occupation of foreign troops, but also terrorist organizations and radicals. It is simply living in dire straits. The old Americans will not care about these changes. What they see is the interests, the huge business opportunities for post-war reconstruction, and the oil in the ground.
In such a film full of dark humor, the anti-war message sent is no less than the honest reports, while mocking the absurdity of Clooney's character, it will raise questions about the war. Look at the American soldier under the influence of psychedelic drugs at the end. Isn't this self-destruction in reflection? The only surviving reflection is only a drop in the bucket, and it can't move the solid foundation at all.
