The Vietnamese seem to be dull, mentally retarded, savage and funny monkeys that have not evolved completely. Even the cruel behaviors of torturing prisoners and cutting off the head with a sickle are just as natural as lions and tigers cannibalism. The prisoners of war imprisoned in the huts were all weird, and their words and deeds were somewhat neurotic and funny. Every day, everyone went out together, made noises, imagined food, slept in a row in shackles and handcuffs, and complained that their companions pulled shit on themselves. It seemed that they had a comfortable and happy life. The protagonist Dieter seems to have the world's most optimistic character, the thickest nerves and the most flexible mind, plus the best luck, so that you can enjoy his unusual adventures with peace of mind.
However, when you think about the scenes and the experiences of the characters in the movie after watching it, you can't help but take a breath: everything is terrible! I can't help but admire the protagonist's strong will to survive. The director used such a way of lifting weights lightly and letting us experience a thrilling survival battle.
