the delicate and cute like Totoro sketches,
the grand atmosphere of Sky City,
the gorgeous and unrestrained spirit of Spirited Away and so on.
But no matter how the footage is advanced differently,
Miyazaki's story
always runs through the kindness and innocence that can wipe out all the filth in this world.
This time, the protagonists are the lovely Goldfish and the kind Sousuke.
In addition to the same pure heart Lisa, there are countless villagers.
This is a story without the existence of a villain,
but it still makes people feel tense and shock.
The greatest enemy in the world is man, and
man's greatest enemy is himself.
The ego's greatest enemy is the world.
What you treat the world with, what the world returns to you.
You hate it and it will engulf you like the sea.
You smile at it, and it gives you a great miracle like Ponyo.
It will make the ship of your mind huge, and
it will give you an immortal beacon in your mind.
This play is more like a fairy tale than the story of a mermaid princess.
It is also sadder and more worthy of longing and yearning.
There are three relationships in this film,
Ponyo's father and Mermaid's mother,
Lisa and Sailor's father,
and then Ponyo and Sosuke.
Ponyo's father who turned into a fishman for the sake of the mermaid,
although he doesn't have a handsome face,
he is just like Lisa who has been waiting for, and he
simply protects what he wants to protect.
With such simple and determined parents,
it is no wonder that there are such kind-hearted children.
In fact, what's so great about being a fish, I like you.
Sousuke has always used liking, and such liking is simpler than love.
There is no possession and conquest, just want to protect you.
It is kind enough to harm no one,
but enough to destroy all destruction.
