It's a "sad" movie

The atmosphere in the middle part of the movie is well grasped. The seemingly simple plot is full of thrills. I thought it was a good drama, but I will only say shit. In the end, what I saw had nothing to do with justice. It seemed that only the screenwriter borrowed the characters from the play. The anger and desperate revenge for the doctor after the death of the doctor is full of too much hostility.

The simple summary of this play is that after the doctor kills the doctor, the doctor asks the doctor to kill his family as compensation, and for some reason, the whole play ends inexplicably and full of ill will, more like The screenwriter's inner monologue is helpless, unable to take revenge on the doctor who hurt him in the past, and this revenge is inexplicable. There is a risk in healing and saving people. If there is no doctor in this world, the patient will die without any treatment, and it seems that only through this Supernatural phenomena can make doctors feel the pain of losing their family members. Only in this way can they take revenge. Only in this way can they sit at the bar and drink drinks, mocking and showing off to the family of doctors who hurt them. This show can be described in one word: sad

Much better than "lobster". Lánthimos uses mysticism and causality to construct a "medical trouble" story full of suspense and horror, but in his bones is the most primitive homomorphic revenge thought. Tooth for tooth and fate for life were written into the "Old Testament" more than two thousand years ago. In a sense, "Holy Deer" is nothing but a modern renovation of fundamentalism. The male lead also played "Dunkirk" this year!

Continuing the grotesque style of the director's previous work, the modern version of Isaac's sacrifice has such a mystical setting of crime and punishment, and an indifferent bystander perspective.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer quotes

  • Martin: He should have come out of that surgery alive, but he died.

  • Student's Dad: The boy is very good at math and physics. Kim is very good at literature and history. They're both a little restless, but they've never been rude to any of the staff.

Steven Murphy: If you had to choose between them, which would you said is the best?
