never look back

I thought this movie was an absolute romantic comedy (romcom) before I watch it, I still thought so when I was half way through it. But at the end, when Julianne didn't end up with her love and best friend Michael, I felt so different from after watching a romcom. I felt a little sad.

The movie is indeed very funny, especially when George showed up to help Julianne, I laughed as if I was crazy. But as the movie went on I started to sense that Michael may not choose Julianne in the end. It's really sad when Julianne gave her little speech finally on Michael's wedding and how Michael said good bye and left with the bride.

No doubt that if Julianne and Michael get together, they would have been perfect for each other. But the timing is so important, once you missed the chance, once there is someone else, there is no coming back.

It reminds me of one episode in Friends. When Chandler is going to propose to Monica but Richard showed up and asked Monica to marry him. Chandler went to Richard's home and told him sth like this:" you had your chance with her but you screwed it up and I'm not gonna let you screw up mine."Richard and Monica had been great but now there is Chandler there is no more Richard and Monica.

it's just like that. when your" best friend" find sb else there is nothing else to say but " I'm so happy for u and congratulations!" this is life.

George Downes: Love to! Love the bag, love the shoes, love everything. Love to!

  • Julianne Potter: Michael, I love you. I've loved you for nine years. I've just been too arrogant and scared to realize it, and, well, now, I'm just scared, so - I-I-I realize this comes at a very inopportune time, but I really have this gigantic favor to ask of you. Choose me. M-marry me. Let me make you happy. Oh, that sounds like three favors, doesn't it? B-but...
