Manhattan, first meeting Woody Allen

After watching "Manhattan", the biggest highlight of the film is the language. The stories are strung together, the plots are linked, and the feelings are expressed. The humorous language even smoothes the ugly "wrinkles" that people shuttle between true love and promiscuity. Manhattan's The street scenes all changed from melancholy to joyful, and it seemed less painful whether it was being dumped or being re-loved. Just when I also told these people that love gave up, 18-year-old Tracy said, you have to believe in human beings, not everyone will fall. Haha, why are you so mature? Sure enough, there is still hope.

Manhattan quotes

  • Yale: You know we have to stop seeing each other, don't you.

Mary Wilke: Oh, yeah. Right. Right. I understand. I could tell by the sound of your voice on the phone. Very authoritative, y'know. Like the pope, or the computer in 2001.

  • Isaac Davis: You know what you are? You're God's answer to Job, y'know? You would have ended all argument between them. I mean, He would have pointed to you and said, y'know, "I do a lot of terrible things, but I can still make one of these." You know? And then Job would have said, "Eh. Yeah, well, you win."
