Don’t spray the screenwriting loopholes, it’s just that there’s a missing paragraph at the beginning of the plot. I’ll make up for it.

Why do so many people say that there is a problem with the screenwriter? In fact, I think it’s just a missing paragraph at the beginning of the plot: the
old man just bought a sailboat and was about to go to sea. Before he came to learn the basics of sailing and equipped with all the equipment, he quarreled with his wife. The old man was upset, drunk, got on the boat dizzy, and went out to sea in a daze. When he woke up, the first scene of the film appeared and broke the hole. . . . Then the rest can be explained.
If there is no such a paragraph at the beginning of the film, many of the subsequent actions are indeed very unreasonable, and it is impossible to explain why an old man who does not understand anything wants to go to sea to die?

  • Our Man: 13th of July, 4:50 pm. I'm sorry. I know that means little at this point, but I am. I tried, I think you would all agree that I tried. To be true, to be strong, to be kind, to love, to be right. But I wasn't. And I know you knew this. In each of your ways. And I am sorry. All is lost here, except for soul and body, that is, what's left of them, and a half day's ration. It's inexcusable really, I know that now. How it could have taken this long to admit that I'm not sure, but it did. I fought till the end. I'm not sure what that is worth, but know that I did. I have always hoped for more for you all. I will miss you. I'm sorry.
