Middle-aged uncle's love and hatred

The middle-aged Woody Allen was thrown out of the marriage, met Little Loli, and had a new female friend. It's a pity that the career is not going well, and in the face of a new crisis, I have feelings for the female friend of my friend who shares the same language. When others reunited, Allen, like the male protagonist in the graduates, ran to find Little Lolita, looking for a feeling of giving to himself without expecting anything in return.

The movies 40 years ago were a complete mess, just like the story of a besieged city. No matter what age, they are looking for themselves in love and hate, and they are all hearts that yearn to be loved and hugged tightly. A middle-aged Eddie, facing a mid-life crisis and a career setback, only love can make himself braver. In the end, Allen confessed, and the story ended, and there was no more shooting. The director himself didn't believe it. Later, all the feelings in the movie are so fragile, the cause or the end, but they are all rambled stories in the city, always starting and never ending!

Manhattan quotes

  • Yale: You know we have to stop seeing each other, don't you.

Mary Wilke: Oh, yeah. Right. Right. I understand. I could tell by the sound of your voice on the phone. Very authoritative, y'know. Like the pope, or the computer in 2001.

  • Isaac Davis: You know what you are? You're God's answer to Job, y'know? You would have ended all argument between them. I mean, He would have pointed to you and said, y'know, "I do a lot of terrible things, but I can still make one of these." You know? And then Job would have said, "Eh. Yeah, well, you win."
