The world needs "dumbs"

Another good movie was watched, and the ending was even more unexpectedly tragic. This type of shady film generally has a happy ending, and the protagonist will triumph like a hero. But this movie is not the case. After watching it, I was silent for a long time.

Love and justice are the themes of this film. The love is so deep that I can't extricate myself, I would rather sacrifice my life to be buried. Under the calm exterior of the diplomat, there is a deep fiery love. "Where is Tess, home is", which moved my tears instantly. There are two other places that touched my tears in this film. One is to leave. One day, the boy presented a card to Tess, and the other was the little girl who took the initiative to get off the plane. A few calm scenes are enough to make people cry. A good movie should be like this, restrained and calm, let the audience feel it naturally, rather than force it on him.

Now let’s talk about Tess, the diplomat’s wife, who could have lived a life of ease and prosperity, but she was killed by passion and justice. I have never seen people of this nature in my life or around, including myself, they are just extremely ordinary people, it is not bad to be harmless to humans and animals, and "harmless to humans and animals" is only a human being. The basic standard, under the conditions as possible, can still go up a little bit. Don't underestimate this little bit of improvement, it can bring a great sense of satisfaction and achievement. What Tess has done is not only a little bit, but too much, so the price to pay is too much, life and the life of her lover are not what ordinary people can do.

One of the functions of a movie is to show something different from everyday life. Tess's reckless enthusiasm, maverick personality coupled with a good face can easily make men fall infatuated with her. The diplomat fell in love with her the first time he saw her and quickly married her. Her husband's mean co-worker also has a crush on her. This kind of woman has never been associated with blandness, and is undoubtedly a boost to men!

Africa has always been a place of practice for idealists, wars, famines, diseases... have never been interrupted, and the same is true for the idealist Tess. She worked as a volunteer in a slum while pregnant, and insisted on giving birth in a local civilian hospital. This is the meaning of her existence in life. Some of her actions were reckless and even stupid, and she lost her life, her friends and her husband, but she was still respected. If the world is as peaceful as I am, and people and animals are harmless, the world won't get any worse, but it won't get any better either.

Dirty and messy slums, AIDS perpetually abused, and tragic wars between tribes are all reflected in this film. Is this true of Africa? If that's the case, it would take a "fool" like Tess who was so enthusiastic and unrequited in return. People like them are beautiful beings in the world!

The second half is tedious and awkward, and wasted this exciting story. I thoroughly liked the angel Tessa, and Justin's love for her finally made him swim across the deep sea.

! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! all about this picture! ! ! ! ! ! ! Beautiful! Beautiful soundtrack photography. The girl is beautiful, no doubt everyone who sees this film will fall in love with this girl. How beautiful is the man who first love laughs! Complicated and serious conspiracy, simple devotion, and vigorous love.

The Constant Gardener quotes

  • [Aid workers are being airlifted from a village ahead of band of raiders. Justin brings aboard a local village girl]

Jonah Andika: I'm sorry, I can't take the girl.

Justin Quayle: I'm not leaving her!

Jonah Andika: We're only allowed evacuate aid workers.

Justin Quayle: To HELL with what's allowed! I'll -look, how much you want for her?

    [pulls cash from pocket]

    Justin Quayle: There's 800 dollars.

Jonah Andika: Don't embarrass me! You can't buy this. The rules are made for good reason. Please.

Justin Quayle: This is a child's life! There are no rules to cover that!

Jonah Andika: Look, there are thousands of them out there. I can't make an exception for this one child

Justin Quayle: Yes, but THIS is one we can help!

  • Justin Quayle: Your life is your own. That was always our agreement.

Tessa Quayle: No, no, no. The agreement was, that my *work* was going to be my own. That's what makes me who I am.
