No wind, no wave

I don’t like films with political themes, nor do I like films that are too educational. It’s mainly because I was disgusted by preaching when I was a child, and now I would rather think about things on my own. This film is therefore not to my liking.

Similar to "Flying Over the Border", they all focus on Africa. Coincidentally, I saw a news yesterday. A famous pharmaceutical company, let's call it "Wei Ma" here, is suspected of illegal drug testing in Africa, which has caused 11 African children's death. Death, actually, is exactly the same as the story of this movie! This film should have been created based on some rumors. I don't know if it attracted the attention of the media and some institutions. It was found that most of the plots in the play were true. In the end, "Mother Wei" was finally dug out. It seems that movies do have the effect of promoting public opinion and forcing out the truth, but I personally think that TV is more suitable for such a function.

Director Fernando Merrills became famous because of the previous film "City of God". I'm ashamed. I bought that one for a long time and I haven't seen it. I don't know where it went. I heard it was a gangster movie. Go home and learn. In "The Immortal Gardener", Fernando Merrills used a combination of documentary and dramatic shots, which I don't think is very comfortable. The two sides don't depend on each other, and they sway like the theme (political warnings are dressed in romance), a bit The feeling of schizophrenia. As for Africa, it is really beautiful. If there is any place on earth that is more beautiful than Tibet, it can only be Africa. The beauty of Africa is that the colors are more exaggerated and richer, and the vastness and purity are not inferior to Tibet. Africa in the movie is very charming, and I also felt this way when I watched "Lord of War" before.

Ralph Fiennes, the play is well done, with all the restraint and sincerity of the little British bureaucrats. I don't like Rachel Weisz, she looks primitive. However, both the Golden Globe and the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress were given to her, and the harvest was quite large.

This kind of film with a strong sense of social responsibility will naturally receive numerous nominations at the end of the year, but I still doubt that the value of pure art is not so great, right?

    1. When it comes to love, there is no emotional foundation at all, and the husband and wife are deeply in love? It's really not enough to be supported by the couple's lack of communication, respect, understanding, and what kind of relationship are they talking about, my mother. 2. The process of finding clues is weak, and there is no tension. I haven't seen such a boring movie in a long time. Wasted my husband.

Ah, this film is so sad, the ending is sad and beautiful, it's so uncomfortable to watch. Beautiful scenery, beautiful colors, beautiful music, beautiful people.

Jonah Andika: We're only allowed evacuate aid workers.

Justin Quayle: To HELL with what's allowed! I'll -look, how much you want for her?

    [pulls cash from pocket]

    Justin Quayle: There's 800 dollars.

Jonah Andika: Don't embarrass me! You can't buy this. The rules are made for good reason. Please.

Justin Quayle: This is a child's life! There are no rules to cover that!

Jonah Andika: Look, there are thousands of them out there. I can't make an exception for this one child

Justin Quayle: Yes, but THIS is one we can help!

  • Justin Quayle: Your life is your own. That was always our agreement.

Tessa Quayle: No, no, no. The agreement was, that my *work* was going to be my own. That's what makes me who I am.
