Because my brain is not good, I usually read the manga first before watching the anime. When I read the comics, I didn't understand a particular passage, that is, when Da Zuo killed Enwei. Enwei has always been wicked, vicious and narrow-minded. Even if Xiuzi is a personal enemy, it is only natural for the chief to kill him, both public and private. Besides, Enwei had been provocative so many times at that time, and it was reasonable for the Chief to be furious. Why did the lieutenant and Edward stop him so desperately? After watching the animation again, I gradually understood their approach.
Chief's ambition is to lead people to live a happier life. He is a leader, a guide, and what he wants to uphold is reason and justice. If the Colonel really didn't listen to the advice to kill Enwei, it would be nothing more than a public revenge. No matter what the motive was when the Chief had murdered Enwei in the first place, when the lieutenant, Ed, and Scar all came to dissuade the Chief, the Chief had lost his reason and discernment, and in his heart he had placed personal grievances between good and evil. Above the righteousness is to vent one's hatred and anger under the cover of justice. This is going off track, and even if it may subside, he will get back on track, but the wrong steps must be corrected. So here I really want to praise the rhythm and expressiveness of the plot, especially to express the meaning that the original work wants to convey (not to say that the comics did not perform well, but I didn't watch orz seriously).
As for the overall work, I really can't boast, it's perfect in every way, and the animation is very conscientious. The only thing that I don't think is perfect is that I feel that it is too small to give up alchemy to restore the body (I am the devil)... The plot, the bloody battle scene, the happy ending, in such a completely kingly way It is really commendable to create such an amazing work under the model.
