Just mediocre

I saw such high ratings on major film review websites, but after reading it, I felt that it was actually not as good as I imagined. Everything seemed so bland, even the plot was so smooth, there was nothing particularly outstanding, except for the last one. A few shots were fired, and the explanations in many places were very vague. For those of us who don't know this history, it's a bit abrupt, a little confusing, and the relationship between the three men can be further explained. Is it homosexual? Electra? Brotherhood? It doesn't seem to be, but there are a few. Don't think that telling a story about a famous case of a famous American family, the actor pretends to have a big nose and kills a person without saying a few words to win the grand prize. I just want to ask, is there a lot of restrictions on making historical films in the US?
