winter bones

Off-white tones. Slightly slower pace. The plot progresses unhurriedly. Let the audience also experience the predicament of the heroine.
The film embodies a culture. a way of life. It takes a dull picture of winter. It shows the helplessness of the people there to run around for a living.
Personally, I feel that this film is not suitable for most Chinese people to watch.
It is infused with a special feeling. We could feel it vaguely trying to say something. But can't know. I can't understand what kind of feeling it is.
There may be differences in the environment. There is nothing about the film that appeals to me. Although the external evaluation is very high generally recommended.

Winter's Bone quotes

  • Gail: [after asking her husband to let her use his truck] He said no.

Ree: Did you tell him I'd spring for gas?

Gail: I told him. He still won't.

    Ree: Why not?

Gail: He never says why not to me, Ree, he just says no.

Ree: Man, it's so sad to hear you say he won't let you do somethin' and then you *don't* do it.

Gail: It's different once you're married.

Ree: It really must be. 'Cause you ain't never used to eat no shit.

  • Ree: He might be hangin' around with Little Arthur and them. You think?

Teardrop: You don't wanna go around Little Arthur's askin' them people about anything they ain't offered to talk about. That's a real good way to end up et by hogs... or wishin' you was.
