There are many horror movies with multiple people dying in the back room, and I especially like this one. The reason is that the crime committed by the surviving men and the scars of the police are cleverly matched. Forgiveness is the greatest virtue, and choosing to forgive also requires the greatest courage. The last line of the movie really touched me: every time my mother finished telling a story, she would comfort me by saying that if the devil is real, so is God. I know this cop is the "God" whose forgiveness broke the devil's rules and saved the lives and souls of the surviving men.
