"Hunger": The Hunger Game for Adults

Before watching this film, I always thought that Scotland is one of the most fierce British alliances. It turns out that the people of Northern Ireland have done so many extreme cases for independence. In the face of this United Kingdom that is agitating to be torn apart, only the Iron Lady at all costs can suppress it. No matter how everyone protested or hunger strike, they couldn't shake the iron lady's determination to suppress. It's just that I don't know whether there will be a disruptive result in the upcoming referendum to leave Britain in 2014 in Scotland.

The action of protesting with hunger in the film, the real skinnyness, the violent beating under the naked body, the long-term ideal debate with the godfather, are the biggest things to see in the film. As for the filthy prison walls and the publicly lied Mrs. Thatcher's speech, they can only be regarded as small concoctions to highlight the tragic situation of the protesters. As a movie that has won 36 trophies, all the spoilers seem pale and weak, not as profound and cruel as the movie itself. Compared with some pretentiousness of pediatrics, this kind of "hunger" is an adult's game.

Incidentally, during the debate between Michael Fassbender and Godfather Liam Cunningham, it is a little regrettable that the Godfather should be questioned: "Does it make sense for Jesus to be nailed to the cross?" Then, it can make the godfather speechless and collapse into a five-body throw, and it takes a long time to spend so much time, almost let the godfather use the family strategy to break the psychological bottom line.

Hunger quotes

  • Father Dominic Moran: I want to know whether your intent is just purely to commit suicide here.

Bobby Sands: You want me to argue about the morality of what I'm about to do and whether it's really suicide or not? For one, you're calling it suicide. I call it murder. And that's just another wee difference between us two. We're both Catholic men, both Republicans. But while you were poaching salmon in beautiful Kilrea, we were being burnt out of our house in Rathcoole. Similar in many ways, Dom, but life and experiences focused our beliefs differently. You understand me?

  • Bobby Sands: I'm clear of the reasons Dom. I'm clear of all the repercussions. I will act and I will not stand by and do nothing.
