Kung Fu Panda, On the way

After we sent giant pandas to zoos all over the world, DreamWorks gave us a Po, which is not only cute in appearance, but also authentic Chinese culture. The three current films are all about Po, a chubby, loving and occasionally unconfident panda, facing a seemingly impossible to defeat a powerful enemy, with the help of his master's family and friends, he uses his kung fu to overcome. An enemy, a story that everyone admires. However, the connotation of the story is deepening step by step, and the plot and climax are also unique and intriguing.

1. The three stories in the advanced version of the
story are independent and complete, and there is no difficulty in understanding any one of them directly. Thinking about it carefully, it is a response, the stronger the enemy, the more profound the ultimate kung fu, and the fuller Po's image.

1. The enemy Dalong (Snow Leopard) - Shen Wangye (Peacock) - Tiansha (Bull Demon King)
has only one main enemy each time, but it is more and more difficult to deal with.
In terms of identity, it is "apprentice-outland hero-master friend". The master's apprentice and Po are half a pound, and the heroes of the outer domain and the dragon heroes are considered equal, but the friend of the turtle master can be regarded as one of the originators of the mountain, obviously superior.
From the perspective of the enemy's ability, it is "personal power - with the help of external force - to dominate the will of others". Dalong is mainly due to his speed and strength, while Lord Shen himself can't beat Master Rhino. He is invincible by using forged "fireworks" and obedient wolves. The so-called "people can be destroyed, but not defeated." In the age of cold weapons, no external force can be stronger than cannons, but Tiansha's qigong can control the breath and will of others, making them obey their own orders, which is even more terrifying. Just imagine that if you really have the ability to control the will of others, I am afraid that weapons do not exist anymore. If you have a disagreement to control your will, you will use it to fight bloody battles?
From the perspective of the enemy's goal, it is "the secrets of martial arts - rule China - rule the universe". Now it seems that Dalong's goal is very simple, just want to get a martial arts cheat book, but Shen Wangye has an army and weapons, and wants to "rule China" in one breath, although he only went to the dock of Gongmen City. Tian Sha returned to the mortal world from the spiritual world, and controlled the breath of all the masters in the mortal world. If I remember correctly, he had a bigger appetite and wanted to rule the three worlds like the Jade Emperor.

2. The ultimate kung fu Wuji finger hold—inner peace—breath control and giving
these high-level kung fu are all epiphanies, but the degree of difficulty is still different, because the three kung fu are different It is "the master will - the master will know the simple part - the master will not". Wuji Nianhua pointed out that Po had met him at the first meeting with the master. Peace of mind was what the master was learning. Although he had seen the master pass a drop of water, Po ended up throwing a cannonball. In the end, I haven't found a suitable name for this kung fu. After all, I only watched it once on the spot, but this kung fu Master Little Panda was a painting I saw in an ancient book together with Po, and finally used the atmosphere of the entire panda village to draw a painting. Only Jinlong defeated Tiansha, and he was so handsome.
In terms of content, it is "moving - self-control - exerting influence on others". The Wuji Nianhua Finger is still a kung fu move, and it's enough to use close-up moves. Peace of mind requires acceptance and understanding of oneself. According to Master Little Panda, Master Turtle has been lying in a water cave for 30 years. of ethnic tragedy. The giving of breath can heal wounds and give people strength, while the capture can control others and strengthen oneself. These are all influences exerted on others. Po's ultimate defeat of Tiansha relies on the breath of panda villagers and goose father.

3.Po
The image of Dragon Hero - Team Leader - Kung Fu Master Po is a little fuller in the story. At the beginning, he was just the son of the goose father, and his life was inseparable from noodles. He was round and clumsy. By chance, he was selected to become the Dragon Hero. After a tailor-made food teaching method, he defeated the dragon and became a veritable Dragon Hero. Immediately afterwards, Po and the master's five apprentices formed the "Six Heroes". As the team leader, they skillfully cooperated, eliminated evil and promoted good, defeated Lord Shen and saved Kung Fu. In the end, he became the master of the Five Heroes and the Panda Villagers, leading everyone to learn and fight, and eliminated the Tiansha.

2. Storytelling
1. Role conflict
First of all, the father goose and the son of the panda who just appeared are a pair of dislocations. Although the second part explains the reason, it does not affect the joy of the big and small, one fat and one thin father and son. Secondly, although "everyone is equal", the animal world is very different. The slow tortoise and the smaller red panda, as well as the fat panda, are the masters of kung fu. In addition, among the five heroes, there are tigers and snakes, who are mighty and fierce, and mantises who are small but capable of carrying a tripod. The image and skill of these animals are both conflicted and balanced.
2. Climax The climax
of the first story is when Po realizes that "the real secret is himself", he recognizes and accepts his own characteristics, and forms his unique advantages through training. He practiced kung fu by grabbing food, using his elasticity, weight and balance to defeat the dragon, until he said "I am the big fat panda" and pressed his little finger.
The climax of the second story is when Po passes a drop of water, recalling who he was and where he came from. In the five transitions of Water Drops and Memories, Po found the reason for his fear, accepted the tragedy of the slaughter and extinction of the Panda Village, and hugged Dad Goose lightly when he returned to Peace Valley, saying, "I'm your son".
The third story, Po returns to the Panda Village, liberates his nature, and the theme seems to be to love and be loved.

3. Chinese style
We are not short of wonderful stories, but the skills to make attractive stories are not enough.
There are too many punches and kicks in various kung fu styles, and it is dazzling to perform. But Po's story puts that aside and speaks to the heart of kung fu. Turtle is the founder of Kung Fu, always relaxed, detached, unhurried, and a natural representative of Taoism. Po's ultimate kung fu is just an epiphany at a certain moment of need after watching it. However, the inscrutable Kung Fu will also make people incomprehensible.
In addition, the enemies in the story are all sharp, the big dragon's fangs, the steel claws of Shen Wang and the jade axe of the gods, Po has no sharp blades, at most a wooden stick, and his body is also round, but he can overcome rigidity with softness.
The food, clothing, architecture, titles, urban structure and colors in the film are all Chinese-style and full of familiarity.

Hope Po's next story is better, I will keep watching.

Zhang Guoli and Jackie Chan are dubbing as Ah Bao’s two fathers... Is it because their sons look too alike?
