Eva is just a witness to the devil

A child is definitely not a piece of paper, what you draw is what you draw.

Objectively speaking, the formation of a person's character and behavior is multi-faceted, but whether it becomes his own character in the end depends on his own choice. Kevin may have felt his mother's estrangement since he was a child, but his reaction was very strange.

I didn't see the so-called Oedipus, because the reason for the formation of the Oedipus complex that I know is not seen in this film.

The only thing I see in the movie is a born demon with a high IQ who takes all his bad emotions out on his mother while showing his good side in front of everyone except his mother.

Children are actually very good at seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages. Kevin naturally understands that his weak and patient mother can be hurt, so he first chooses his mother as a trash can for his malicious side.

Of course, he also has a little bit of monopoly on his own trash can, which is misinterpreted as love because of the mother-son relationship.

Moreover, the capacity of the trash can is limited. When Kevin's malice is so much that his mother can't fill it all by himself, then other people are the targets of venting! There is an obvious hint in the film that Kevin said that more people should pay attention to that paragraph, but in fact, the scope of his venting is no longer satisfied with his mother alone, and he wants to convey his malice to more people.

Not to mention young women who are not literary and artistic, in real life, for various reasons, there are many people who are suffocated by giving birth to children.

The mother in the film is a normal person, and she is the type of normal person with a relatively strong personality, and even more, her mother is an excellent normal person, whether it is publishing a book, or playing golf, or giving up after the incident. All possessions and live strong in the face of stress alone.

And what about Kevin? He hates mothers, so he mentally abuses them in a variety of ways: he only cried desperately in front of his mother as a baby, cold and violent to his mother as a child caused the mother to worry about the child's hearing problems, the mother did not cooperate in teaching numbers, and when he was so old to bring a diaper...

The episode when Kevin fell ill just shows that the crux of the mother-son problem lies in Kevin. Perhaps his arrival was not what the mother wanted at first, but why did the mother fail to do her due diligence towards her son? The mother's efforts after discovering the problem of the mother-child relationship are not rewarded. What else can a mother do except be patient? And once Kevin responds to a normal child, the mother's performance is full of love: telling stories, hugging and kissing her son, and speaking softly.

Just when the mother thought the relationship with her son had eased, it was Kevin's uncontrollable malice that made the problem worse.

It's messy, to sum it up:

this movie just wants to illustrate the natural devil, so Eva finally asks why and has no answer.
