Going too far can backfire

After watching this movie, it's really hard to calm down.

It's hard to imagine how if I were Eva, how would I deal with a kid who shattered my dreams.

It's even harder to imagine how I'd deal with a mom who didn't seem to love me if I were Kevin.

The film continues to retell the entire past of the story through scenes from the real life and painful memories of a sick mother, Eva.

Near-perfect auditory effects - lead your thoughts and emotions to the inner world of the characters, to feel the atmosphere of each frame.

When those unforgettable pasts are still vivid, I think no one is not afraid.

The acting of Ezra Miller (played by Kevin) is definitely another highlight of the film!

Especially the part where Kevin peels the lychee with his hands and chews it hard in his mouth, the expressiveness makes people feel cool, including his every sentence and every expression. Sometimes what happens in one second can make you afraid to imagine what will happen in the next second.

Maybe Kevin just wanted to get his mother's attention, maybe Kevin just wanted to get more mother's love, but he forgot - if things go too far, it will backfire

.

A good movie worth thinking about.

The starting point for the mother of the murderer on campus is indeed novel and sharp enough, and Tilda Swinton also fully surrendered the image of a mother who is gradually falling apart. Unfortunately, the director’s efforts to cross narrative on two timelines are finally Crossed myself out

Three and a half. On the way back, I remembered the album of "experts teach you how to get revenge": When you have a son, don't you teach him well. You killed your whole family. Tilda Swinton has always been great, Ezra Miller was not bad, and Miller's last scene was especially good. Jonny Greenwood's soundtrack is not bad, but it's not amazing.

We Need to Talk About Kevin quotes

  • Franklin: Kev, Mom had something that she wanted to tell you.

Eva: [Eva looks appalled and despite her efforts she finds that this time, she is unable to fake any sort of love towards Kevin] I wanted to... thank you for calling the ambulance.

    Franklin: ...And?

Eva: And I was concerned... that you might be feeling... RESPONSIBLE.

    Kevin: Why is that?

Eva: [on the verge of snapping] Because you were SUPPOSED to be looking after her!

Franklin: We just don't want you to blame yourself.

    Kevin: No. I don't... I mean I... I never said I did.

Eva: ...She's going to need a GLASS EYE, Kevin.

  • Eva: Standing at the counter of the miniature golf course, the mother sees a group of obese people and rants to her son: "Whenever I see fat people, they're always eating. Don't give me any of this... 'slow metabolism, it's my glands' crap."
