After reading it, what made me feel amazing was not the story of Snowden himself, but the story of an American who was still wanted by the US government and was put into a film review by an American director. Played by several popular Hollywood movie stars, such a movie can be shown in the United States and can participate in film festivals. Doesn't this mean that the United States is a very magical country? As a Chinese, it is unimaginable.
Of course, this is a real occurrence. The United States upholds individual rights, and freedom of speech is paramount. Through Hollywood movies, you can always see sarcasm against government agencies and dignitaries, and the two parties attack each other, which seems to have become an American culture. Is there any other country in the world that likes to criticize and ridicule the government as much as the US media, to the point of being "maddened", if the media can see the praise of the US government, then the sun will come out from the west. Snowden's sacrifice of giving up a comfortable life is not meaningless. Trump's counterattack in 2016 may have been affected by the Snowden incident to some extent. It is impossible to go a thousand miles without a single step, and every straw is layered upon layers. There are so many black swan incidents this year. Perhaps it is because the people no longer believe in politicians and would rather let a rich tycoon run the country. It seems to others that it is a bad thing to change government policies before and after the change of the president of the United States, but, maybe this is the self-help of the United States? As long as the president is changed, the United States can tear up the previous agreement with the outside world, and If a government remains unchanged for a long time, how can it be slapped in the face to deny the previous policy?
It can be seen that Joseph Gordon-Levitt tried his best to imitate Snowden's voice, movements, and demeanor. I think what he's modeled is still closer to the prototype.
