The first unstoppable American drama, I give five stars

The setting is very interesting and the layout is huge. I can feel that as the first season, the whole story structure is carefully laid out. Some people say that the rhythm is slow? I disagree.

First of all, from a practical point of view, it is impossible for anyone to immediately understand and accept the sudden appearance of "superpowers", because it exceeds the previous cognitive experience, so the protagonist is surprised, confused, gradually used to, and then learns to use mutual help. It is the most reasonable psychological development process, and it is appropriate to unfold slowly. After all, this is an American drama, and it is conditional to make it clear that it is not just a two-hour superhero movie, and the protagonist must immediately save the world at stake after getting his superpowers. (Not to mention that this protagonist has 8 people!)

Secondly, from the perspective of the plot needs, this drama not only enriches the characters with the real situations, childhood experiences and inner entanglements of the 8 people, but also extends the reflection and discussion of more problems through the stories of the 8 protagonists. LGBT, religion, family, love, human nature, self-awareness, etc. are all topics that the director wants to talk about. So many questions, so many clues, how amazing it is to be able to make it clear in 12 episodes! What about procrastination.

The whole viewing process can be said to be addicting. To be honest, I don’t watch many American dramas, and high-quality ones such as Friends, Modern Love, Love Death, and Robots are also very appreciated and enjoyed, but the wonderful thing is that the above-mentioned dramas once I don't miss it much when I stop watching, and it may take a long time to continue; I may also prioritize other entertainment or episodes when I have free time. And sense8 is different. This is the first American drama that made me reluctant to stop and sleep, and look forward to watching the next day before going to bed. (Of course, I haven’t watched many American dramas, and I wouldn’t refute it if I say I have too little knowledge of American dramas haha) The interesting or embarrassing scenes when the characters first started synaesthesia were very interesting; When their respective skills help each other out of the predicament, it makes my aunt laugh! There are only four words in the final battle of the whole team - such as Kan Shuangwen. This is the eight hanging! What can stop!

In terms of other highlights, the soundtrack is very nice, and it blends well with the scheduling of the shots, creating a wonderful emotional atmosphere! I think it is also the many plots and emotional moments of characters that accompany bgm, so that the audience can clearly feel that this is not just a "cool drama" of superheroes, but a deeper, wider, more real, and more touching. The emotions of the audience will be complicated with the emotions of the characters, and they will also think about more philosophical topics about life together.

Finally, there is a small question: 7 people in the protagonist have shown their high-light "combat skills", only the DJ girl emmm... Where is the combat power? She looked like a fragile Mary Sue in the last episode, which made me anxious. Some people say that she is an emotional bond and strengthens everyone's emotional connection, because the music that accompanies her has several resonances; some people say that she is the only one who has given birth to children, and may have inherited the role of "mother"... It all makes sense , but need to continue to observe.

Continue to watch the second season!
