The Chronicles of Narnia 3: Everyone has a Narnia in their hearts

It has been nearly three years since the last one. At that time, the mood of watching the second part was completely different.

The subtitle of the third part is called The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. After the movie, I sat there alone and thought for a long time. I suddenly realized that I didn't really understand the Chronicles of Narnia until the third part.

[Temptation: Never doubt the value of your existence]

Each of us is born with a responsibility, and the temptation we face while taking responsibility is often irresistible. And this temptation is often closely connected with the desire deep inside. Just like Lucy wants to be more beautiful, Edmund aspires to the pinnacle of power and wealth, etc.

Lucy chanted a spell to make her beautiful in her dream, and as a result she turned into her beautiful sister Susan and attended a romantic reception, but she disappeared, as if she had never existed in this world at all. In panic, Aslan's remarks woke the dreamer, Aslan said, Lucy, is this what you want? Be yourself, don't expect to be someone else, and never doubt the worth of your existence. Yes, never doubt the value of your existence. Aslan's words also woke me up. Doubting myself, expecting myself to be so-and-so, how much I am like Lucy. If you feel that you are not good enough, there is no such simple shortcut in the world. Just by chanting a spell, you can make yourself become what you want, whether it is appearance or figure, whether it is knowledge or cultivation, whether it is status or achievement.

Edmund confronts Caspian by the pond of desire, and the desire in his heart is exposed at that moment. In that magical pond, anything thrown into it, including people, will turn into gold. If he can take away the wealth, then the richest man in the world must be him. He and his sister Lucy don't need to rely on others. If he kills Caspian, he can. Rule Narnia without subservience. As long as one of these two items is established, it will be considered as one's wish. How similar it is to the real world, how many brothers and sisters who share weal and woe, because of power and wealth, can kill each other, because if you want to fulfill your inner desires, you will not hesitate to destroy each other.

How difficult it is to overcome the temptation of your heart through your own strength. Just like in real life, if we encounter such a tempting moment, what should we do and what should we choose? The most important thing is whether we can correct our position and truly see the value of our existence.

[Belief: As long as you stay firm, you can realize your dreams. 】

Lucy and the sailor's daughter were lying on the island watching the stars, the girl asked Lucy, can mother come back? Lucy replied, of course, as long as you stay firm, you can achieve your dreams, which is what Aslan said.

I've loved this little girl named Lucy since the first "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". Among the brothers and sisters, only her faith is the strongest. She almost represents the purest side, sincerity, beauty, enthusiasm, and strength. Step by step, the relationship between her and Aslan is the most intimate.

The lack of belief is indeed a common denominator for many adults. We often use our known experience to judge the unknown, how it should be, and how it could be. If you haven't started working hard, you think that the end will be a failure. But are you really doing your best? At that time, I tortured myself with my own position, and suddenly felt extremely ashamed. Public exams, BEC, work, relationships, I could have done better, and I could have had less regrets. So easy to back down, if you can be more determined, if you can work harder, isn't it, you can realize your dream?

[Cherish: Don’t just look at what you have lost, it is more important to cherish what you have. ]

The reason why Caspian embarked on the journey on the Voyage of the Dawn Treader was to find the missing father and the Seventh Count of Delmar. It is said that if you find Aslan's kingdom, you can find your own father. And in the face of the rolling tide, Aslan told him where his father was, and he needed to find it himself. Once you move forward, there is no way out. Caspian eventually gave up going forward. He said, I want to understand that it is more important to cherish what you have than to just look at what you have lost. I lost my father, but I still have my country and my people. Father would never forgive me if I gave them up.

This is a tough choice. Caspian lost his father very early, and survived for many years under the conspiracy of his uncle. After going through hardships, he finally reached the entrance of Aslan Kingdom, but he could only choose to return without success. And I admire the courage to give up.

All of us face a variety of multiple-choice questions at critical times in our lives. Whether it is difficult or painful, to choose A, you must give up B. No matter which road you choose, whether it is beautiful or full of thorns, it is the harvest or price that you need to bear bravely. No matter how beautiful the B you abandoned, it has nothing to do with you. And the chosen A may not be completely worthless, even if it is densely covered with thorns and has the courage and ability to overcome thorns, it may not be a gain. Therefore, it should also be cherished.

[Growing up: You have grown up, so this is the last time you will return to Narnia. 】

This is Aslan's motto to Lucy when he is parting, because he has grown up, so this is the last time he will return to Narnia.

So, what exactly is Narnia?

I think everyone has a Narnia in their hearts. In this kingdom of Narnia, we were our own King or Queen, we were as pure as Lucy, brave as Peter, maybe gentle and beautiful as Susan, and selfish as Edmund, we were all tempted, we were all defending our own Ideals have worked tirelessly, fought hard for everything we cherish, and in the end, we will grow.

Lucy asked Aslan, can I still see you? Aslan said, I will exist in your real world, maybe in a different identity, with another name, for now, just to let you know me in advance.

And who is your Aslan?

three years.

Happy growing up, dear self, dear you.
