torn love

First of all, neither Max nor Marianne is treasonous, he and she both love their country. Personality does not take precedence over patriotism.

But as spies of a hostile country, they fell in love. This is the point of the whole play. Love is supreme or country is supreme?

The first half of the movie explains the strengths of Max and Marianne: as excellent spies, they are both good at acting. Marianne: I usually put in the true love, otherwise I can't gain trust (this is the basis for Max's affirmation that Marianne's love for himself is real). Temptation, being tempted, coming and going, the two are attracted to each other, and their feelings grow secretly. On the eve of the execution of the death mission, the two people were shocked by the car. On the second day of the assassination scene, it was only logical to cooperate with a tacit understanding and mutual destruction of the cold gun behind the opponent. Happy! Could have died, but was still alive. Max proposed.

Marianne came to the UK to marry Max through the review. In the second year, she gave birth to the crystallization of love, Anna (a cute baby actor), and the family of three was safe and happy.

All good is broken by one sentence: Marianne is a German spy.

When Max first heard this sentence, he was immediately furious. He knew too well what this sentence meant. His home, his love, and even his future would be destroyed. He broke the rules and went out of his way to prove that Marianne was not a German spy. He wanted to be sure that Marianne really loved him. But when she heard that this might be a test for herself, she directly asked her boss for confirmation: if it was a test, she would not stab her lover with her hands, and Anna would not lose her mother.

The result was brutal: Marianne was a German spy. How to choose Max? He couldn't do it with a lover, but if he didn't, he would be killed as a collaborator. He wisely handed the problem to Marianne. Note, the process by which he selects the plane.

Marianne is a great mother, her torn love: motherland, children, lover, how to choose? With her identity exposed, she knew from the clues in her life that she still wanted to stay a little more beautiful. In the end, she chose to be loyal to her country, and fulfilling her lover was the happiest environment for Anna to grow up.

Pitt and Marion performed the climaxes of the second half of the film one after another, which was exciting, and the expressions and movements were in place. Many plot trends are shown through actions and expressions.

War is cruel, but the truth of the world is more moving.
