You think it's the kingdom of Terabithia, where there are monsters, hordes of wasps, squirrels and vultures.
You think it's a steeple castle, where there are beautiful landscapes, rivers, golden houses and purple flowers.
Leslie is the point.
She taught Jesse to open up and see the world she imagined.
And the climax was the sudden death of Leslie.
Just suddenly, not accidental.
This is life.
I always thought that in the later stories, Leslie would appear again in some magical or imaginary, or whatever way.
But never again.
The world is like that. It's all about what fantasies you give yourself.
