Adapted from the Newbery Award-winning novel of the same name, which is the highest award in American children's literature, "Finding the Bridge to Wonderland" describes a far-reaching friendship between two young boys and girls. It is a story of fantasy and adventure. .
Chess (Jess Aarons) is the only boy of five siblings, but he is often ignored by his family, and his personality has become eccentric and unpopular with his peers. Xie Xi not only loves art, but also hopes to be the fastest runner in the school.
Leslie Burke had just moved to this suburban town, and her artist parents had no time to take care of her in order to open up new circles. Because there is no TV in her home, and she often wears strange hand-painted clothes, her classmates regard her as a strange chicken and bully her.
Xie Xi and Li Shili met in a game. Xie Xi wanted to show his skills in a race that only boys can participate in, but Li Shili joined and beat him. Although Xie Xi was angry, because the two were also excluded, they gradually became good friends. Together they built their "Kingdom of Terabithia" in the forest, a fantastical kingdom only reached by rope swinging across the river. The imaginative Li Shili named herself and her friends the titles of "Queen" and "King", and made up the "Dark Lord", a traitor and his subordinates, and then weaved a number of thrilling stories. Along with him is "Prince PT" - a dog that Xie Xi gave to Li Shili! In this country, Xie Xi and Li Shili traveled on an unpredictable journey, tasted surreal happiness, and forgot the troubles of being excluded from school on weekdays.
Unfortunately, this friendship ended abruptly. One day, Xie Xi and her teacher (Zooey Deschanel) went to see the exhibition, while Li Shili went to the kingdom alone. When Li Shili used the rope to cross the river as usual, the rope suddenly broke... . After the tragedy, Xie Xi felt inexplicable grief, but thinking of the encouragement and support that Li Shili gave him, he decided to build a "Terabitea Bridge", so that his sister Meibao and later generations could share the beauty of "Terabitea" and joy.

Thoughts:
First of all, I must admit: When I saw Li Sili died unexpectedly, I cried, and cried a lot.
I originally thought it was just a fantasy-themed movie, but I didn't expect that the fantasy part was just the fantasy of the hero and heroine (Xie Xi and Li Sili) - two people who were ignored in the family and excluded in the school, and established their own children. Small paradise. They imagined squirrels, vultures, and trees as opponents sent by the Dark Lord, and even the characters who bullied them on weekdays were also assigned roles in the fantasy world.
Xie Xi and Li Si Li just take risks and enjoy themselves in the fantasy world.
"How can a boy who is not afraid of Songge and Vulture (a fantasy character) be afraid of Scott (a boy who bullied Xie Xi at school)?"
"A girl who is not even afraid of the Giant Tree Monster (a fantasy character) Would you be afraid of an eighth-grade girl?"
They encouraged each other like this, and gradually became stronger and independent, and the people around them also felt their change.
One day, Ms Edmunds, a music teacher, invited Xie Xi to visit the museum together. Xie Xie, who had always been fond of Ms Edmunds, felt that Li Sili should be invited to go with him, but he wanted to enjoy the time alone with the teacher, but he did not invite him. When Xie Xi returned home contentedly, she was shocked to hear the bad news: when Li Sili was swimming across the river, the rope broke, she fell into the river, hit her head against a stone, and drowned....
Xie Xi refused to believe the fact that Li Sili died. When he attended the memorial service, he felt inexplicable. When he met Ms Edmunds, he also said that next time he would invite Li Sili with him, she would definitely like it.... Li Sili's figure always passed by Xie Xi's side. He knew she was there, but he couldn't catch her.
Back at school, there are people who gloat over the misfortune and those who express sympathy for Xie Xi and Li Sili, but to Xie Xi, these are not important, there is no classroom without Li Si Li, boring, lonely, Xie Xi opened his empty eyes, as if Nothing was seen. When he got home, the school bus stopped, and after getting off the bus, Xie Xi kept waiting—waiting for Li Sili, who was supposed to get off after him, to appear, but unfortunately, no one got off.
In fact, Xie Xi knew that Li Sili was not coming back, but he couldn't bear it...especially when he thought "If I invited her to visit the museum with me that day, she wouldn't have died in the river!"
Self-blame, remorse, and guilt made Xie Xi refuse to admit the fact that Li Sili was dead, but as time passed, Xie Xi gradually confirmed that Li Sili had left... How should she deal with herself? It’s about letting regret and guilt eat away at you, making yourself depressed, numb, or….
Returning to reality from a fantasy country, the growth story of an ordinary boy, yet so real and so touching.
I like the phrase "Keep your mind wild open" by Li Sili very much, and I also like the songs in it. The songs and lyrics cooperate with the movie scenes. I looked for information on the Internet and saw that there is soundtrack, but unfortunately I haven't found it yet.
