The film tells the story of a young boy who embarks on a long journey to find his beloved pet dog in a future somewhere in Japan where all dogs are exiled to a desert island.

The story of the film takes place in two time periods, one in ancient times and the other in the future twenty years later. Ancient stories and future stories have many similar characters and plots, but in essence, they are actually completely different.

In ancient mythology, in order to expand the sphere of influence, the Kobayashi Dynasty, who loved cats, began to grab the dog's territory and enslaved the dog; the young warriors of the Kobayashi Dynasty did not hesitate to betray human beings for the independence and freedom of the dog.

In the future story, the conflict between Mayor Kobayashi and the dog is also artificially fabricated. His campaign team infected the dog with the virus, framed it as dog flu, made the public panic, and then drove out these sick dogs as a political achievement. the people's vote.

Mayor Kobayashi and his staff issued a decree to turn a garbage island into an island of dogs and banish all dogs to the island. The chairman of the government-controlled pharmaceutical industry secretly dropped tens of thousands of disease-causing fleas and tick larvae in the city center, creating an unprecedented large-scale plague. The commander of the task force was also ordered to transport more than 750,000 cages of dogs to the garbage island. At the same time, the government developed artificial dogs as an alternative to dogs. At this time, the young Atari stepped forward and foiled the conspiracy of Mayor Kobayashi's team. However, instead of being independent and free, dogs are more loyal than ever, at the mercy of humans.

Mayor Kobayashi's only opponent in the campaign, the candidate for the Science Party, called on everyone to be kind to dogs, and vowed to give himself six months to develop a serum for treating canine distemper. However, in order to maintain his status, Mayor Kobayashi, who grasped the popular sentiments, ignored his appeal and took the lead in exiling Diandian, a guard dog raised by his family during the rehabilitation of his adopted son.

He also hired the big brother of the Tekken Gang, and used bribery, blackmail, intimidation and other means to sweep away the pro-dog protesters. The professor who developed the serum to treat canine flu was also put under house arrest and poisoned by the government. The government also intends to brainwash the people of the city, deliberately spread anti-dog rhetoric, and create panic.

The ultimate fate of the dogs that were transported to the garbage island was to be wiped out by the government with poison gas bombs, with the aim of eliminating the dog species in Kizaki City.

Abandoned dogs on the Isle of Canis are living in a very poor condition after leaving their owners. But in addition to fighting over meager food, they also forge friendships of their own.

Only a 12-year-old boy broke into the Isle of Canis in search of his pet dog, and this is our protagonist.

The young boy's parents were killed in an accident, and his distant cousin, Mayor Kobayashi, adopted him. When the little boy lay on the hospital bed with multiple broken bones, Xiaolin Dian Dian served as his guard dog to accompany him and protect him.

So the little boy will try his best to find this dog named Xiaolin Diandian. On the Isle of Dogs, the little boy met five dogs and gained their trust and help. They worked together to fight the government's pursuit and persecution. The most arrogant stray dog leader was slowly moved by the little boy and became his loyal partner.

In the final interview, the reporter asked the little boy, what if someone hurts the dog? The little boy said, then the death penalty is fine. The reporter said, will this be too heavy? The little boy said that anyway, the social service order should not be less than 30 days, plus a fine of not less than 250,000 yen.

    Keep loving Wes Anderson!

It's obviously a cute animation sketch, and it looks like a Dunkirk. It's Wes Anderson's affectionate confession to the dog. The big black dog is very much like the lone wolf that flashed by in the fox father, and he contracted me several tears. In addition to Webster's audio-visual language as always, there is no sense of incongruity between the combination of stories and Japanese elements, which means that the military medals are more than half of Desplat. ps As a cat party, I have to say that cats are innocent!

  • [Two packs of feral dogs growling at each other over a garbage bag potentially containing food]

Rex: Wait a second. Before we attack each other and tear ourselves to shreds like a pack of maniacs, let's just open the sack first and see what's actually in it. It might not even be worth the trouble.

    Igor: Alright.

Rex: A rancid apple core, two worm-eaten banana peels, a moldy rice cake, a dried-up pickle, tin of sardine bones, a pile of broken egg-shells, an old smushed-up rotten gizzard with maggots all over it...

    Chief: Okay, it's worth it.

    [All dogs proceed to fight]
