The first time I saw this film was in the summer of 2011. Pablo, a Mexican teacher, showed it as an entertainment between classes for us who had only been in contact with Spanish for more than a month. As a result, the original Spanish-language film without subtitles left me confused and a series of horrifying images, and left my roommate with the fear of not going downstairs alone for a week. Looking back many years later, while smiling bitterly at the original ignorance, I was shocked by the warmth hidden under the surface of horror in the film. I don't want to write a deep film analysis, I just want to leave a warm trace of this moment. One, two, three, wooden man... Love can make me overcome my fear and pursue you. Love, can take me past death and embrace you.
