Lonely Castle is not alone

Strictly speaking, this can't actually be called a horror movie. Well, warmth accounts for the majority.

Laura can see that because of love. At the end of the movie, Laura holds Simon and six other children in her arms, and the lighthouse goes on and off, with the phrase "This is Laura...she's getting old, like Wendy." I can't be moved.

But my favorite scene is when the fathers and mothers who lost their children are sitting together, and when the old man said that everyone present should be able to talk about the experience of saying goodbye to their dead children, all raised their hands...

I don't know how much obsession it takes to see the dead relatives, but I think even if "he\they" doesn't appear again, I can live well in that world with these memories and concerns.

Well, Laura, Simon and their friends from the other world would definitely be fine living in the castle.

The Orphanage quotes

  • Simón: [while reading Peter Pan] Wendy grows old and dies?

Laura: Wendy grows old, but Peter Pan takes her daughter to Neverland every year.

Simón: Why doesn't Wendy go, too? If Peter Pan came to get me, would you come, too?

Laura: No. I'm too old to go to Neverland, darling.

    Simón: How old are you?

    Laura: Thirty-seven.

Simón: At what age will you die?

Laura: What sort of question is that? Not for a long time, until you're very old.

Simón: I won't grow old. I'm not going to grow up.

Laura: Will you be like Peter Pan?

    Simón: Like my new friends.

    Laura: There's more than one?

    Simón: Six.

Laura: They won't grow up either?

    Simón: They can't.

  • Aurora: Seeing is not believing. It's the other way around. Believe, and you will see.
