For the conflict scene, the film is very realistic. The power of pseudo-documentary is here.

Now cameras are everywhere (it’s almost hard to buy mobile phones without camera function, right?), and the Internet has never been more developed. These things can leave evidence and help justice.

Not only the United States has racial issues, but all countries have them. The film was objective and did not mention this issue positively. (Objectivity is not easy. In the Zimmerman shooting, the president failed to be objective and lost his attitude.)

Whether the real Oscar is as healthy and upward as described in the film, we have no way of knowing. Wikipedia and various other sources claim that the filmmaker sought out a lot of information from his family and friends. But in any case, the director was still very successful in showing everyone a living Oscar.

Oscar suffered misfortune, but he lives in a society under the rule of law and relatively free speech. Afterwards, there were many mass demonstrations and gatherings, and the court also gave a reasonable judgment. This kind of film was also filmed and released on a large scale to educate future generations. In countries where the legal system is not sound, many victims have nothing afterwards, no one statement, and no due compensation. Protests are not allowed, and films cannot be filmed. In the end, the tragedy was forgotten. In order to preserve our own survival, our genes have created an extremely complex shell for ourselves: human beings. It has brought all kinds of goodness, and it has also brought all kinds of tragedies. We can only prevent tragedies from happening internally through better education, and restrain ourselves from the outside with better laws.
PS. I
watched this movie in Landmark Theater. Before the start, the English version of the trailer of "The Grand Master" was played. There is no dialogue in the English trailer, which does not reflect the subtlety of Wong Kar-wai's lines, because it is facing foreign audiences, and the emphasis is mostly on kung fu. It will be released on August 23. Come and join in again when the time comes.
