Call Colonel Tom

It seems that I have a heart-to-heart. I watched the video last night and found that "Miracle Boy" was released today.
I've seen it before, and I think it's my favorite movie. It's been a long time since I wanted to go to the cinema to see a movie.
I was almost in tears as I watched it. Heartbroken, moved.

It tells the story of Auggie, a boy born with facial deformities.
After many surgeries, he still scares people, so Auggie has been studying at home with his mother.
At the age of fifth grade, he finally walked into school and met some bad classmates who discriminated against him, mocked him and bullied him.
But there are also some classmates who lend a helping hand and establish friendship with him. Some of them are touched, misunderstood, sad and happy.

In the film, several related people each tell their own experiences, all of which are related to Auggie.
Their thoughts make me feel very sad because everyone is not easy and has their own troubles and sorrows.
Mom gave up her career for Augie, her sister lost her parents' attention because of her, and Augie suffered the most.
Another classmate really wanted to be friends with Auggie, but in order not to be isolated, he spoke ill of him behind his back to please others.
But no matter what, they are living hard, hiding their pain, and loving each other.

At first Auggie wore an astronaut helmet, which, while striking, allowed him to hide himself.
Every time he was bullied and beaten, he would look for the helmet, refuse to be seen, refuse to talk to people.
Later, when Dad hid the helmet, he finally stopped hiding himself and gradually stopped caring about other people's eyes.
In the end, he conquered everyone with his wealth of knowledge and charisma and created miracles.

What particularly moved me in the film was that every time my sister said goodbye to Auggie in front of the school gate, she would possess her and whisper to him.
She asked Auggie if he could hear, and said to him: Let them see if anyone wants to see it. Some people are born different.
I cry every time I hear her say that, wishing every little kid had someone say that to them.

Her sister didn't get the attention of her parents at home, and her good friend alienated her. She was alone thinking about her grandmother who loved her.
Grandma had always cared about her during her lifetime, and once told her lovingly that she was her favorite baby and her whole life.
She asked grandma what about Auggie, and grandma said of course she loves him, but there are already many angels to take care of him, so you are mine.
My sister's friend called Auggie when she was in extreme distress and said "call Colonel Tom" to have a heart-to-heart with him.

Everyone has sadness buried in their hearts, and they all need to face it by themselves, but in fact it's nothing, as long as you love, you won't be lonely.
Like the principal said: be kind, because everyone is fighting hard. If you want to truly understand a person, look with your heart.

Sometimes you see people who say they love everyone, but don't have any feelings for specific people, everyone is the same.
I can't love everyone, and I feel like that means I don't love anyone, I only love a few specific people.
But my feelings are not narrow, I do not lack compassion, and have a sense of justice. Although my words are sharp, I have no malice towards people.
Love for a specific person is simple and pure, and I know what true love is.
I don't advertise that I love people, but when a friend needs help, it's your own business.

There is also a very touching scene in the film. Auggie is walking in the lower courtyard. In the corridor, people are looking at him with weird eyes.
He remembered what his mother had said to him: if you don't like it here, imagine you're going to a place you like.
Then he imagined himself wearing a helmet and a space suit, going into space, walking on the moon, where no one was his monster.
Thinking of the song Space Oddity, some people say that it expresses the meaning of the unknown, don't be afraid, and have the courage to explore.
When you have something that others admire and don't care what others think, you will not be limited by people and circumstances.
