It is definitely not easy for a person to maintain such a clear mind and a broad mind after spending 27 years in prison. If politicians could, as they say in their slogans, base their political ambitions on the purpose of making the country better, the world would really be a lot more peaceful. The film cleverly fuses the two threads together. Reviving a divided country and rescuing a team from nowhere sounded both tragic and ambitious missions. From no hope to rejuvenation, watching it all the way, it is still very moving.
Watch it in English with original sound and subtitles. It is impressive that Mandela was honored as Madiba by blacks. It sounds kind and respectful. Such a leader must have a very different weight in the eyes of the locals. I also remembered the sentence, I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul. I feel very powerful. The original English name is Invictus, which never yields and reflects the spirit of the film better than the translated version.
