Inspiration

When competitive sports meet the national will, the two bombs set the atmosphere at the end to an unattainable height. It's hard to imagine that a game has so much significance for a country. A symbol of a new nation, a big step against racial discrimination, and an inspiration for the national spirit. Like President Mandela called Inspiration. For the first time, I was deeply aware of the significance of competitive sports to the country and the inspiration of the national anthem to the people. Humans are emotional animals after all, and they are too easily infected by emotions. A victory is undoubtedly a piece of chicken blood for a new country and new citizens.

Of course, the one I admire most is President Mandela. As a statesman, his foresight is really beyond the reach of ordinary people. For President Mandela, rugby means more than just a sport, killing many birds with one stone, turning a game into a flower. But it is not cold politics. It turns out that politics can be so human.

And President Mandela's sincerity, "everyone is real". In order to encourage the football players, I wrote down everyone's name, not to mention the people around me, the staff can be called by their names, and I always greet the security guards first when walking in the morning. Each of the 43 million South Africans is a living person. A leader who can achieve such a high level is really a model of "the poor can be alone, and the best can help the world".

Thanks to this warm and powerful film, I have seen the unique personality charm of President Mandela.

Invictus quotes

  • Nelson Mandela: How do you inspire your team to do their best?

Francois Pienaar: By example. I've always thought to lead by example, sir.

Nelson Mandela: Well, that is right. That is exactly right. But how do we get them to be better then they think they CAN be? That is very difficult, I find. Inspiration, perhaps. How do we inspire ourselves to greatness when nothing less will do? How do we inspire everyone around us? I sometimes think it is by using the work of others.

  • Nelson Mandela: You criticize without understanding. You seek only to address your own personal feelings. That is selfish thinking, Zindzi. It does not serve the nation.
