Tribute to Mandela

Rugby has always been a boring sport in my mind, and few people are playing it, but through this film, I learned that rugby can actually be very exciting, even like football. The World Cup was so popular, it was the first time I had such an understanding of rugby; but instead of learning about rugby, this film showed Mandela's commitment to overthrowing race through a Rugby World Cup in South Africa The belief and courage of isolation and efforts to unite the African people, the nearly 30-year prison life did not make Mandela yield, nor did Mandela have the anger of hating white people, but told the whole world through his words and deeds after he was released from prison. The African people "resent is like a prison, forgiving others is equal to sublimating oneself"; Mandela's great mind is very admirable, of course, he is not only worthy of admiration for this.

I like Mandela's sentence "Thank God for giving me an unconquerable soul, I am the master of my destiny, I am the commander of my soul" --- Tribute to Mandela

The only flaw in the film is that it not only ignores the contribution made by mainland China to South Africa, but only writes about Taiwan, distorts the facts, and hopes that the people of South Africa can face up to history. You have a brother named China.

Invictus quotes

  • Nerine: [after Francois returns from his tea with President Mandela] So, what's he like?

Francois Pienaar: [pauses] He's unlike any person I've ever met.

  • Hendrick Booyens: [after meeting Francois Pienaar for the first time] He's not as big as he looks on TV.
