Human beings, the instrument of the heart

The word invictus cannot be found in the dictionary. Invictus originated from the 19th century English poet William Ernest Henley. Invictus means "never fall, indomitable" in Latin.

I think the father of the country, Mr. Sun Yat-sen, said: "The human being, the instrument of the heart also means the same thing. All great people are unyielding and persevering in reaching their goals and never resting!"

I know that Taiwan and South Africa used to be very close, and they have a good relationship. There are several places in the film that have been mentioned all the time. I wonder if there are other intentions?

I have always been partial to the old man's movies, but this movie is still flawed.

It has both the ritual sense of political films and the formal sense of sports films. I think this has more disadvantages than advantages.

Invictus quotes

  • Nelson Mandela: If I cannot change when circumstances demand it, how can I expect others to?

  • Brenda Mazibuko: I'm sorry, Madiba, but we've got problems everywhere we look: housing, food, jobs, crime, our currency. You can't keep interrupting affairs of state to placate a minority!

Nelson Mandela: But I must. Because that minority still controls the police, the army, and the economy. If we lose them, we cannot address the other issues.

Brenda Mazibuko: So, this rugby is a political calculation...?

Nelson Mandela: It is a HUMAN calculation. If we take away what they cherish; the Springboks, their national anthem, we just reinforce the cycle of fear between us.
