meaning of life

The Rugby world cup in 1995, more than a game, as one of the most respected politicians in the world, Mandela was released after 27 years in prison and became the then president in 1994. South Africa has just experienced various riots and abolished the racial system. The new president took office, and the social and economic relations including various races were delicate and tense. In this context, the rugby team mainly composed of white people is not as simple as an ordinary team. Originally I watched it for Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. After seeing the final, I found out that the 1995 Rugby World Cup finals played against South Africa at home was actually All black. For a person who has lived in New Zealand for 20+ years, his mood changed when he saw this. It's very complicated. Maybe it was God's will that All Black lost that day. After all, Mandela was there that day. After I finished, I searched the 1995 Finals, and it was really exciting, especially in the last few minutes of the tie, the South African team really fought with a rope, and the passionate singing of the audience was really moving. The movie truly restores the whole game, including the South African team winning the first time to hold a group and pray quietly. The ending is exciting and inspirational. For this film, I listened to Bie An's glorious days (written to Mandela) while reviewing the history of South Africa and Mandela's story, and finally ended today's thoughts with the last few lines of the title poem. Invictus:

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul
