because perhaps the final despair will follow.
When we want to cry, be strong,
our life may end absurdly, but those beautiful things
will always be remembered in our hearts. -----Buried Alive
When Paul was buried in a coffin in the desert, at least he could make so many phone calls for help. In the great heaven, if something like this happens, it's better to kick his legs early. In the world, real interests are the greatest. No matter which country you are a citizen of, you don't have to expect GOV to really spare no effort to save you. Well, not much to say about that.
While watching this movie, I felt the same way. The narrow space, the fear of not reaching five fingers, the darkness, loneliness and helplessness. Paul made phone calls again and again for help, connected, representing hope, transfer, referral, and hang up. . . represents despair. Kind of like a satirical reincarnation. Paul made several calls, and finally turned to the so-called help organization and found Dan Brenner. This is the second-most-played character in the movie, responsible for saving Paul. I was a little touched by this character, his voice stayed with paul till the end, even though he still failed to rescue paul. He would remember Mark White's name, because it was also the hostage he was unable to free. I think maybe he hasn't lost his conscience like those mercenary goddamn GOV officers, he's really actively trying to rescue paul, and even admits candidly when paul desperately asks him if it's all over, and He could have chosen to keep cheating on Paul, but he didn't. At least not let Paul even death become a deception.
Life is such a burial. The development of science and technology makes us seem to live in a vast global village, but in fact, this is just a lie. Most people's life is walking along the established track, there is no new idea, there is no way out, we naturally live in a huge coffin, and the vague reality is the four walls of the coffin. We're all alone, we're all alone in this huge coffin, we either die peacefully in this coffin, or we wait for the bombs to fall and blow the coffin and let the sand bury us alive.
Mothers, wives and children are Paul's greatest concern and the concern of all of us in our lives. Paul promised his wife that he would go home, but he couldn't go back after all, lying in the coffin that no one knew about. In fact, there are not many beautiful things in a person's life. Being with family is the happiest thing. Before his death, Paul was in tears when he was talking with his wife on the phone. Thousands of words could not express the guilt and regret in his heart. Only when faced with the fear of despair can we see the truest sincerity. A person's life seems to have been played out in this film. My mother was admitted to the hospital with dementia, and my wife was always busy outside for a living. Ordinary friends not only would not stab you, but would hang up on your phone. At this moment, the company that has an interest relationship will find a reason to cut off the relationship with you. Your lover will leave before you. A person with a conscience will do everything in his power to help you get out of your predicament, while your family will only cry and beg you to come back safely. But in the end, there's nothing you can do about it.
Looking up at the window, do you feel the coffin wall that is tightly surrounding us?
When we have no way out, what do you choose to do?
